When I look at the Milky Way, animals, DNA, and everything people can create, I do not see a world without meaning. I see the work of God.
Genesis opens with a simple, powerful statement: God created the heavens and the earth. Later, it says human beings were made in God’s image. For me, that means our lives are not accidents. We have dignity, purpose, creativity, and a responsibility to care for what God made.

What I believe
The creation story answers my biggest questions.
Science asks how the natural world works. Genesis answers a different set of questions: Who is the Creator? Why does creation matter? What makes people special? The Bible’s answer is that God is before everything, creation is good, and people bear His image.
I personally believe God is the source of life and that creation reflects His intelligence. Christians do not all interpret the “days” in Genesis in exactly the same way. Some read them as ordinary days, while others understand the chapter as a theological description of God ordering creation. They can disagree about the timeline while agreeing that God is Creator.

Reasons I remain convinced there is a Creator.
Life feels designed
DNA, cells, animals, people, and the universe are incredibly complex. To me, that order points toward an intelligent Creator. Complexity is not a scientific disproof of evolution, but it is one reason I see purpose instead of accident.
Science still has questions
Scientists continue debating details such as the exact paths different species took and how the earliest life began. Evolution explains how populations change after life exists; it is not itself a complete explanation for the first life.
Meaning goes beyond a lab
Science can study fossils, genes, and natural processes. It cannot measure why human life has value, why anything exists, or whether God has a purpose for us. Those are faith and philosophy questions.
Being fair about science
Questions are not the same as disproof.
I do not think faith needs exaggeration. Missing fossils, unanswered questions, or the complexity of a cell do not by themselves scientifically disprove evolution. The National Academies and Smithsonian describe evolution and common ancestry as strongly supported by fossils, genetics, anatomy, and observed biological change.
That does not force a person to believe life is meaningless or that God does not exist. Science studies natural evidence; it does not have an experiment that can prove or disprove God. Some Christians reject common ancestry, while others believe God created through evolutionary processes. My own belief begins with Scripture: however the physical details are understood, creation belongs to God.
My conclusion
I believe God made us on purpose. I can respect scientific research, ask hard questions, and still trust the Bible. My faith is not based only on finding a gap in a theory—it is based on who I believe God is, what Scripture teaches, and the meaning I see throughout creation.
